Top Rock Bunch began in 2018 with a clear mission: to grow the Top Rock community in Greece and to represent the dance correctly. At that time very few people were practicing it and even fewer understood its foundations. TRB set out to document Top Rock with honesty, consistency, and respect for the culture.
One of the first ideas that shaped the project was the Showcase. This was a one-minute video filmed in a single take, showing pure Top Rock with no retakes and no edits. What the camera captured was exactly what the world saw. The simplicity and authenticity of the format quickly drew attention and brought dancers from Greece and abroad into the project.
As TRB continued to develop, events in Greece began adding Top Rock categories, often with TRB supporting the process behind the scenes. Collaborations followed, including battles, cyphers and workshops, all created with the intention of helping the community grow. Workshops featured respected teachers such as Mr. Wiggles, Ynot, Peaky Rock and B-Boy Aya.
What began as a small idea gradually evolved into a platform dedicated to connecting dancers, strengthening the community and preserving an essential part of Hip Hop culture.

Beatstrike
founder.
Active in Hip Hop since 1997, Beatstrike’s foundation was formed through sustained practice in movement, music, and documentation, grounded in lived experience within the culture. As a B-Boy and turntablist, his path reflects decades of digging, training, and committed engagement with Hip Hop’s core elements.
His understanding of rhythm and movement is rooted in African-American music, with James Brown as a central reference. Through years of practice in music theory, tap dance, body percussion, timing, and drumming, he developed a deep sense of groove, structure, and control—elements that define his approach to Top Rock. As a turntablist, he is active in community events and Top Rock battles, pushing dancers to challenge themselves across different rhythms and show their own flavor on the floor.
Beyond the floor, his work continues through documentation. Through the camera, he documents cultural moments, dancers and events, building a visual record that contributes to the preservation of the culture.
For Beatstrike, connecting with experienced culture carriers in the United States and Greece shaped his perspective and strengthened his sense of responsibility in representing the art form.
Top Rock Bunch stands as the result of this ongoing work: focused documentation, informed storytelling, and a long-term commitment to the culture.
